Super Famicom (SFC)
Launch Years: NA: 1991(SNES), EU: 1992(SNES), JP: 1990
The Super Famicom is the Japanese version of the Super Nintendo. I think that this console's aesthetic and design is so much better looking than the blocky North American SNES. The design was used in pretty much every region except for North America. The controller cables are criminally short, which is a major downside, but god damn that's a sleek ass console. At least the controllers aren't hard-wired to the system, like the original Famicom.
My particular unit is complete in box, which is pretty cool. Super Famicom hardware and games are usually pretty cheap here in the U.S, as most people (including myself) can't read Japanese. JRPG's like Chrono Trigger and Dragon Quest are much more common, even complete in box when compared to the North American or PAL versions of those games.
